Social media has fundamentally changed the way we interact with our public at large and, even more, in our sport. What started as an innovative way to approach our target has become an essential tool for marketing, public relations and services. But as easy as social media has made it to connect with our customers and friends, it does come with some drawbacks.

There is no control on social media. Platforms like Facebook and Twitter allow anyone and everyone to share opinions which makes for interesting conversation, but it can be very dangerous. Social media must be continuously monitored to maintain a positive content.

FCI’s 3rd edition of the dog walk took place on August 6th:
300 participants under the sun!

In the afternoon of 6 August, the FCI organised their third dog walk, in collaboration with the Tourism Office of Thuin. This year, we had the opportunity to walk through the prestigious site of the Aulne Abbey and … we enjoyed it!

Three hundred participants gathered, most of them accompanied by their four-legged friend of course, sometimes even by more than one

Just like last year, those who did not come with a dog were offered the opportunity to “borrow a doggy” from our partner, the SPA of Charleroi (Animal Protection Society): they joined us with 8 dogs the participants could take for a walk with them and/or adopt, after a period of reflection.

Our guides - Carine and Swamini - led this happy procession, divided into two groups, to the several demo’s we had organised with the help of our wonderful partners:

  • Ecole Technique Cynophile (training, behaviour, Agility, Obedience,…)
  • Terra Nova Rescue Dogs (rescue dogs at work in the river)
  • Secourisme canin (first aid for dogs)
